Privacy Policy

The short version

StrideMirror does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything happens on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. StrideMirror has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking SDKs. There is no backend that we (or anyone else) can query for your data.

What stays on your device

• Videos you record or pick: stored only in your iPhone's app sandbox (not in iCloud, not on our servers). Used solely as input to the on-device pose detection step. You can delete history records at any time.
• Walking metrics and history: the numbers extracted from your video (cadence, stride times, etc.) are saved in the app's local database (Apple's SwiftData) so the History tab can show them later. They never leave your device.

System permissions we request

• Camera — to record a walking clip in-app. Footage is processed locally and never transmitted.
• Microphone — captured automatically by iOS when video is recorded; StrideMirror does not analyze audio.
• Photo Library — to let you pick an existing video for analysis. We only read the file you select; we do not browse, scan, or upload your library.

Third-party services

None. StrideMirror does not integrate with any third-party SDK that collects user data, analytics provider, or advertising network.

The app uses Apple's Vision and AVFoundation frameworks for on-device pose detection and video processing. These are part of iOS itself and run entirely on your device.

Children's privacy

StrideMirror is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data about children or anyone else.

Not a medical device

StrideMirror is a personal-observation tool only. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or condition. If you have a health concern, please consult a licensed healthcare professional.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, if practical, surface a notice in the app.
